The Client: Kromatik
Kromatik are a US based company that is a strong player in a specific niche market. They manufacture and sell a wide variety of signs that can be attached to the sides of buses or other similar vehicles.
The Challenge:
They came to Gproxy Design for their website design and implementation, with the particularity of requiring some specific functionality within their eCommerce Platform. Kromatik wanted their website visitors to have the freedom to design the exact product that they needed, but without going outside of the boundaries of what they can actually produce.
Our Strategy and Results:
To do this custom made functionality, the team of developers at Gproxy Design created the “Interrelated Search”. It consists of giving the customer the possibility of selecting three initial criteria when designing their own custom bus lettering. Once the customer has selected the type of product they require from the drop down menu, the second drop down menu adjusts its options so that they customer can select only from the size options that are available. That combination of selections in turn effects what options are available with regards to color in the next section.
This intuitive functionality not only helps involve the client in the production process, but also encourages click through within the website and reduces the numbers of customer inquiries that Kromatik receive via their website.
This functionality, together with the high-tech design Gproxy delivered; helps Kromatic.com to be more successful and stronger player in their niche market.
